


Following his formal studies, he pursued advanced training with internationally renowned soloists and principal players from major European orchestras, including members of Teatro alla Scala and leading symphony ensembles.
Recognized as one of the few tuba soloists to establish an international solo career, Angelo has received numerous first prizes and special awards at national and international competitions, including the Clara Wieck Schumann, L’Estro Armonico, Etruscan Riviera, and Magliano Sabina competitions. He has performed extensively across Europe in major concert halls and cultural venues in Austria, France, Spain, Switzerland, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, and beyond.
As an orchestral musician, he has served as Principal Tuba with many prominent ensembles, including the Symphony Orchestra of Piacenza, Florence Symphonietta, Orchestra “L. Cherubini” of Florence, and the Symphony Orchestra of Ravenna, among others.
Equally dedicated to education, Angelo has over twenty years of teaching experience, instructing tuba, trombone, and French horn at conservatories, music high schools, and academies throughout Italy. He is currently Executive and Artistic Director, clinician, and tuba professor at the Brass Lab Academy Italia in Montespertoli (Florence). Many of his students now perform professionally or study at leading conservatories.
An accomplished author and pedagogue, Angelo Piazzini has published over 100 works, including didactic methods, transcriptions, and arrangements for brass instruments, released internationally in Europe, North America, and Japan. In 2018, he collaborated with the German firm Werner Chr. Schmidt to develop the “A. Piazzini” signature tuba mouthpiece. He is regularly invited worldwide for masterclasses, lectures, and performances focused on brass performance and education.
