After making the bold decision to leave a successful career in finance behind, Koelsch dedicated himself entirely to music. Since then, he has built a loyal international following through more than 1,500 live performances, over 1.5 million streams across digital platforms, and several thousand physical record sales. His concerts are characterized by remarkable stylistic diversity, ranging from energetic, rhythm-driven pop songs to intimate ballads that captivate audiences with their honesty and emotional intensity.

Throughout his career, Matt Koelsch has shared the stage with members of legendary bands such as R.E.M., Pink Floyd and Toto, and has appeared as a support act for artists including James Taylor, Hootie & The Blowfish, Collective Soul, Edwin McCain, Lucy Spraggan, Wet Wet Wet, Kris Allen, Ke$ha and Pierce the Veil. For several years, he and his band held a residency at Disney in Anaheim, California, and he has performed at major events including the Lights Festival, where he played to an audience of more than 5,000 people.

His musical education includes a summer scholarship at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, complemented by advanced studies in composition, harmony, music production and ear training. Alongside his work as a singer-songwriter, Koelsch has increasingly established himself as a producer and film composer.

His latest album was largely recorded in his own studio alongside acclaimed session musicians who have worked with artists such as Adele, Halsey, John Mayer and Hans Zimmer. The recordings combine vibrant brass arrangements, cinematic orchestral textures and contemporary production into a sound that is both modern and unmistakably his own.

With his authentic artistry, musical versatility and natural connection with audiences, Matt Koelsch has established himself as one of the most engaging independent singer-songwriters on the contemporary American music scene.
