Always attracted by the traditional music of the world and eager to learn new styles, Claire studied acoustic guitar at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden, Germany, with a focus on “concert music/world music/jazz”. Thomas Fellow, Reentko Dirks and Stephan Bormann were her teachers there. After two years, she successfully completed her Master’s degree in July 2016.
Claire has won three first prizes at international guitar competitions: Montigny-le-Bretonneux (2010), Fontenay-Sous-Bois (2012), Nuits Musicales de Cieux (2014).
She regularly performs in France (Paris, Dijon, Perpignan, etc.) as a soloist or in duets (with a flutist, singer, etc.) and has also played at the “Festival International de Guitare de Paris” (2010), “Festival Guitares en Picardie” (2013), “Sul Tasto Paris Festival” (2015) and “Freepsumer Gitarren Festival” (2015-2016).
In May 2016, she was invited by the French Embassy in Beijing to tour China with her duet Clariana (flute and guitar) and gave eight concerts there.
In the course of numerous internships and master classes, she was able to improve her playing skills with renowned guitarists such as Roland Dyens, Carlo Marchione, Denis Azabagic, Judicaël Perroy, Alberto Ponce, and Tania Chagnot. She also took part in Ibrahim Maalouf’s improvisation classes as part of the PSPBB (2013-2014).
