In their first year of collaboration, Don & Julie played more than 45 concerts in Germany, the UK, Canada, and the US—an impressive start that showed how naturally their musical worlds complement each other. In 2025, they continued their international tour and steadily developed their joint repertoire—from intimate, touching songs to virtuoso guitar duets reminiscent of orchestral grandeur.

Don Ross, born in Montreal and a multi-award-winning fingerstyle guitarist, has been one of the defining personalities of his genre for decades. As the first two-time winner of the U.S. Fingerstyle Guitar Championship and recipient of the Walter Carsen Prize, he is considered a pioneer of modern acoustic guitar artistry. His influences from folk, jazz, and contemporary music flow directly into the duo today.

Julie Malia, guitarist, singer, and composer from Germany, brings her distinctive voice, enormous technical finesse, and poetic musicality to the joint project. She is one of the most prominent artists of her generation, regularly performing at major European festivals, and was nominated for the German Record Critics’ Award in 2024 for her album Seagull.
