Veronika Mushkina, born in 1993 in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia), began her musical training at the age of five on the piano at the music school in Dzerzhinsk. At the age of ten, she switched to classical guitar and graduated with honors from the Dzerzhinsk Music College in 2011. In 2020 she completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Robert Schumann University of Music, followed in 2023 by a Master’s degree under Prof. Alexander-Sergei Ramirez. In 2017, the young guitarist received the Germany Scholarship and took part in various guitar festivals, such as the Koblenz International Guitar Festival and the Viva la Guitarra! Festival in Düsseldorf. She has won prizes in international competitions in Russia, Serbia, Italy and Spain. She has received funding from Live Music Now Rhein-Ruhr since 2019.

She performs with various chamber music ensembles at home and abroad and knows how to pass on her love of the guitar to her students. She is currently studying at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) under Prof. Andreas von Wangenheim.

Franziska Jaschke, born in 1992, in Krefeld, Germany, received her first flute lessons at the Krefeld Music School. She later enrolled in the pre-college program at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf with Prof. Evelin Degen and completed her Master’s degree in 2019 under Prof. André Sebald.

During her studies, she was an intern with the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, an academy member at the Halle Opera, and also performed as a freelance substitute with ensembles such as the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn and the WDR Funkhaus Orchestra Cologne. In chamber music, she has won several competitions, including 1st Prize at the International Kuhlau Competition.

She continues to perform as a freelance substitute with various professional orchestras and expands her repertoire in chamber music ensembles. Most recently, she appeared with the Sinfonietta Vivazza.

For the young musician, passing on her passion for music is just as important as performing. From January 2020 to December 2021, she taught at the Datteln Municipal Music School, and since January 2022 she has held a permanent teaching position at the Mönchengladbach Municipal Music School.

Duo Jaschke&Mushkina

The Duo Jaschke & Mushkina is made up of two young musicians who met at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Duesseldorf, Germany. The duo has performed in concert halls across Germany and participates in international competitions. Their colorful program spans various eras, ranging from the Renaissance to modern music, including both arrangements and original compositions for flute and guitar.
