Whether with modern interpretations of folk music from Venezuela and Brazil, or with tango nuevo, Latin jazz, classical music, and their own compositions, the two artists enchant their listeners with imaginative arrangements and take them on a journey through their diverse sound world. They are always eager to experiment and leave room for refreshing improvisations. Duo Resonado has been touring since 2012 and has already gained international recognition through countless concerts on major stages and at highly respected music festivals.
Alejandro Carrillo
Venezuelan violinist and singer Alejandro Carrillo gave his first concert as a soloist at the age of 4. Since then, he has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Orchestra Filarmonica Nacional de Venezuela. As an orchestral musician, he plays with orchestras and ensembles such as the “Orchestra Simon Bolivar,” “Filarmonica de Jalisco,” “Neues Kammerorchester Potsdam,” and “Bolivar Soloists,” and is co-founder of “Alcaba, El Cuarteto de Venezuela” and the Duo Resonado. Coming from a family of musicians, the artist has been playing and singing Latin American folklore since early childhood. Numerous concerts in Latin America and Europe with the quartet Alcaba, which consists of his family members, as well as competition prizes such as the first prize at the Maurice Hasson Competition (2004) have earned him great recognition. Alejandro Carrillo studied violin at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and at the Rostock University of Music and Theater with professors such as Ulf Wallin, Stefan Hempel, and Axel Wilczok. Since the 2018/2019 season, he has been concertmaster of the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie Schönebeck.
Fabian Zeller
As a straddler between worlds, German-Portuguese guitarist and composer Fabian Zeller combines southern European joie de vivre and the emotional intensity of fado with the solid structure of popular and classical musical traditions. Guitar legend Carlo Domeniconi confirms that he is considered a virtuoso magician on his instrument: “The guitar needs musicians like him.” Whether as a sought-after soloist with orchestras such as the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra with the world-famous “Concierto de Aranjuez,” with his world music solo program, which was released on CD in 2018 as “NovoMundo,” or in projects such as the Duo Resonado or the groove jazz band Flowin Tension , the young artist is gaining international recognition at highly respected music festivals and in concert halls in America, Asia, Africa, and European cities. His concerts are regarded by audiences and the press as “guitar fire” (Ostseezeitung, Germany).
