Sandrine regularly performs at festivals and cultural events, including the Festival des Semaines Musicales de Quimper, Les Rencontres de Calenzana, Festival d’été de Chateauvallon, opening for the group I Muvrini, the Festival de Musique d’Erbalunga opening for Alain Souchon. In 2022, she performed the famous Concierto de Aranjuez with the Ensemble Instrumental de Corse.

In recent years, she has been bringing her classical guitar to other styles and sharing the stage with Yamandu Costa and Juan Carmona (Nuits de la Guitare de Patrimonio). She also collaborates with the Corsican group A Filetta for I balconi (6 voices and a guitar). Particularly sensitive to the history of her instrument, Sandrine also plays period instruments: a René Lacote guitar from 1828 and a 19th-century French lyre-guitar.

As a chamber musician, she regularly performs with various chamber music ensembles. She founded the duo Polycordes with harpsichordist Catherine Zimmer (Après Tessarech, Portraits d’enfants), the trio Polysons with percussionist and bandoneonist Philippe Biondi (Le chant des mers), and recently the duo with pianist Emmanuelle Mariini (Cine Musica). She also participates in many cross-disciplinary projects, particularly in shows for young audiences: A strada di i venti, Le lion de la place des Palmiers, La Boîte à Musiques.

Holder of the Certificat d’Aptitude, Sandrine Luigi teaches at the Henri Tomasi Conservatory of Music in Bastia. A “Guitarist 2.0,” she has recorded over 2000 progressive videos for imusic-school, from beginner to advanced. Her arrangements of traditional Corsican tunes are published in her collection Canzone di Corsica (éditions L’empreinte mélodique).

Her first solo album, Polaris, was released in June 2018. The 14 tracks pay homage to Mediterranean guitar music and the great classical guitarists. Ella, her second album, came out in June 2024. It is a patchwork album of arrangements, personal compositions, and works from the classical guitar repertoire. Both albums are available on her website www.sandrineluigi.com and on all major streaming platforms.

Sandrine Luigi

Sandrine Luigi discovered the guitar at the age of eight and was immediately captivated by the magical touch of the strings. Drawn in by the frenzied deciphering of sheet music, she studies at Bastia Conservatory and then in the PACA region (unanimous First Prize at the CRR of Marseille and a Bachelor's degree in Musicology). At 21, she was unanimously admitted as the top candidate to the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP). Four years later, she obtained a Master's degree with the highest honors.
