Featuring Venezuelan-Italian singer and actress Victoria Vasquez Jurado and guitarists Giorgio Genta and Deniz Mastropietro, the ensemble combines voice, two classical guitars, bass guitar, Venezuelan cuatro and percussion in a distinctive musical formation.
Through original arrangements by Deniz Mastropietro and Giorgio Genta, traditional songs, folk music and works by Latin American singer-songwriters are reinterpreted through the arrangers’ individual artistic sensibilities and musical experience. Their approach brings a personal perspective to the repertoire, exploring new instrumental colours, textures and rhythmic possibilities.
Victoria’s expressive voice and theatrical sensibility further enrich this musical dialogue, in which the intimacy of chamber music meets the vitality of Latin American traditions.
The trio has refined its artistic identity through Residenze Erranti, working with Marco Ramelli, Enrica Savigni and Giacomo Susani. Its artistic work has also received appreciation from internationally renowned guitarists Pablo Márquez and Sérgio Assad. Alongside its exploration of Latin American music, the ensemble actively engages with contemporary composition, with composer Simone Fontanelli having dedicated a work to the trio.
All three musicians are conservatory graduates with active international careers. Victoria Vasquez Jurado combines classical singing and a broad vocal repertoire with her experience as an actress. Giorgio Genta is actively involved in contemporary music, with concert tours around the world. Deniz Mastropietro, a prize-winning guitarist specialising in classical and contemporary repertoire, has received the Diploma di Merito from the Accademia Musicale Chigiana twice.
With its versatile instrumentation, distinctive arrangements and compelling stage presence, Trio del Amanecer offers a fresh and personal perspective on Latin American music, suited to concert halls, festivals and international cultural programmes.
